Introducing the Merida Reacto 4000, an entry-level carbon aero bike with a race-proven ProTour geometry equipped with a game-changing Shimano 105 drivetrain and powerful hydraulic disc brakes.
This latest edition of the Merida Reacto is more spectacular and efficient, featuring wider tyres, an ultra-clean cockpit cable integration system, and a series of small yet impressive improvements to amplify performance.
To make sure no detail is neglected, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) was used to model the bike's aerodynamic prowess in a virtual wind tunnel, informing changes that led to the most substantial reduction in air resistance.
Small but important enhancements like the integration of the front disc cooler behind the fork, the positioning of the rear disc caliper in the rear triangle, and the creation of new bolt-through axles with the thread seamlessly combined into the fork dropout, all work together to reduce drag and further amplify aerodynamic performance.
The Reacto's accelerated tyre size does little to detract from its aero capabilities, due to a myriad of other improvements. The result is a harmonious fusion of comfort, aerodynamics, lightweight, and style, hailed by Cycling Weekly as 'without doubt, one of the most complete bikes available on the market'.
To guarantee safe and efficient rides, all Reacto models come equipped with powerful hydraulic disc brakes that are neatly attached on the chainstay for better dissipation of braking forces. These brakes are fitted on CNC'd aluminium Disc Cooler fins designed to decrease operating temperatures by up to 35%.

We require that bicycles are collected from the store fully assembled. All bikes go through a Pre-Delivery Inspection to ensure that they are ready to ride, and all road bikes include a bike fitting to ensure that your new bike is set up perfectly for you. Please see the bike fitting page for further information.
If we do not have an item you have ordered in stock then we will contact you straight away to let you know. Most items can be restocked within a week, however if this is not possible we will let you know.
If for any reason you wish to contact us regarding an order you can do so via either the contact us form or our email address: [email protected].
We are sure you will be delighted with your purchase, but if you are not, we accept returns and we will refund the price of the product providing it is returned in perfect resale condition within 14 days. If you would prefer an exchange for a different item (size, colour, etc) and we have the item in stock, we can arrange this once the original item is returned. You are responsible for the cost of sending the item back to us, and in the event of an exchange, any additional postage of sending out a new item.
If you believe an item to be faulty and you want to pursue a warranty claim, please return the item with a copy of the original proof of purchase. If upon inspection we agree it's a warranty issue we will repair or replace the item at our discretion and return it to you carriage free. If a warranty claim has not been cleared with us and you wish to have the item returned to you, there will be a postage charge for this. If you are returning an item to us, we cannot be responsible for the return postage. It is important to include a copy of the original proof of purchase, contact details and a description of the problem.
