The YST BB-993 is a universal Square Taper repair bottom bracket (JIS standard). The patented compact bottom bracket is sealed and maintenance-free. The bottom bracket is placed in the bottom bracket shell and screwed into itself - the conically shaped bearing cups ensure that it is centered and firmly seated. Suitable for bb shell width 68mm - 70mm. Replaces English (BSA), Italian, French or Swiss threading bottom brackets. Weight: approx. 360g. Available with axle lengths from 110mm to 127mm (please select). Made in Taiwan.

The repair bb is the perfect solution for the following cases:

- the thread of the inner bearing shell is damaged and it is no longer possible to screw in a bottom bracket

- you have a frame that has no bb thread at all

- the search for a replacement bottom bracket for rare types (e.g. Swiss BB) was not successful.

Please note: this bb is NOT suitable to replace Thompson or other (old) press-in bottom brackets with 40mm shell diameter!

Please also note: 2 bottom bracket tools (type Shimano) may be required for assembly as otherwise the bearing may spin when tightening so that it cannot be installed firmly. Scope of delivery: 1x YST BB-993 Square Taper repair bottom bracket incl. crank bolts
